The next lectures at Kujawsko-Dobrzynskie Branch of UTA

Another two branches of Kujawsko-Dobrzyński UTA hosted our ecoAnimators - Włocławek and Radziejów Kujawski.

 On 12 March 2015 the lecture was given to the students of Kujawsko-Dobrzyński Branch of the University of the Third Age on biodiversity, conducted by Ms Aleksandra Fornalewicz whereas on 16 March 2015 in Radziejów the lecture was conducted by Ms Maria Palińska - both educators work every day in Włocławek Centre for Environmental Education.

 The attendees in both branches got interested in the lecture, which was evidenced by large turnout.

The issues concerning biodiversity were presented during the lecture, among other:

  • Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro
  • The Convention on Biological Diversity
  • The concept of species diversity
  • Causes and effects of biodiversity deterioration in Poland
  • Climate change and biodiversity
  • Polish Red Book of Animals and the protected species
  • Ecological corridors and habitats of the protected species
  • Attributes of Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park as examples of elements of biodiversity in our region
  • Biodiversity on a plate – this is, what we eat
  • Presented a brief description of the most valuable national parks.
